Tried to get me to download Anydesk app. My bank stated to charges made, Amazon has been notified.

Scammer sent email message to my email. Stated my order from Amazon for 1400.00 plus dollars had been sent out. We did not order this and my husband made the mistake of calling the number on the email. They then asked him to go to CVS and purchase gift cards, then asked for the number one the card and PIN number. Unfortunately they drained the gift cards,

I keep getting recorded calls from Amazon claiming I have a preauthorized purchase and they're always for different amounts. If you wait on hold you get to speak to someone and I spoke to a woman and told her that I didn't have an account with Amazon, she told me yes I do.

They sent me a text trying to tell me that I had a large purchase on my Amazon account. I confirmed with Amazon that this is a scam.

Scammer pretended to be from Amazon. option to press 1 if you wanted to unsubscribe to Amazon Prime. I pushed 1 as I had meant to do this for some time. They then wanted me to download a program (anydesk) and before I got suspicious they wanted access to my computer. I think they got it before I turned everything off and disconnected from the internet. They never asked for credit card info or other sensitive information except access to my computer. I don't keep credit card info on my computer.

Received text regarding online purchase of TV and gave number to call and order number as well. When I called, the person said it was amazon, but when I checked my amazon account there was no such order. When I notified the person on the phone that the order was not on my amazon account, they hung up instantly.

I took a call but the name the caller used was for someone else at our place but the caller still kept talking to me. The caller identified themselves as being from amazon, asked if I had ordered an iPhone and if I didn't would I like a refund. After confirming that I did not order, the caller (over a few minutes) was very forceful in claiming that our personal information had been stolen and a fake account had been set up. They said I had to cancel the order from my end to stop this payment and get a refund. When I asked how I could cancel an order on an account I had not set up, with a password I did not have, they hung up. I do not know what they would have asked me to do to get my info if I had believed them. If it was a legitimate call they would not have hung up.

Caller said they were trying to deliver a I phone for over a Thousand dollars, The number was a local number 260-244-8696. The last word from the caller was he would **** my wife.. The caller had my name and address and asked for social. I do order through Amazon.

I wanted to cancel my Amazon Prime. I searched online for a phone number for Amazon. I found a phone listed for Amazon Customer Service and called. The guy who picked up said he would help me. He wanted to see my account and check how much money was being paid each month. He had me download the AnyDesk app on my phone. Since I had my online banking app also open on my phone this guy was able to see everything. I didn't understand what was going on. He then created a fake email address. Soon he was having me use Zelle to transfer a payment. He actually transferred $800 out of my checking to him! I hung up when I figured out what was going on. I called my bank and reported fraud. But I'm not sure if I will get the money back or not.

This is the msg that I got on my iPhone: “Confirmation: Your card will be charged of $792 AMAZON for order #AMG548 TP13 Air Purifier on Feb 24, 2022. Need help? Contact +16193752433”. Don’t reply to this message if you receive it.

Amazon imposter called and said consumer ordered packages and caller needed to verify the consumers information.

I have received phone calls from Amazon two days in a row. They called from different phone numbers. Yesterday they called from 4-833-864-5050 Inn my caller ID. Came up as unknown name. Today the call came from 216-631-4247 No name. I answered the calls. It starts off as a robocall. My account will be charged $873 for an I Phone 13. I think that was the amount. It states to press 1 to speak with a representative. I pressed 1 yesterday. I spoke with a lady. I asked her name and number. She hung up on me. I pressed 1 again today. A man answered. I asked his name. He gave me David Johnson. I said you work for Amazon. He said yes. I asked his agent number. He gave me 4490. I asked for his phone number. He gave me 808-747-6505. I said thank you. I am calling the Better Business Bureau. You are a scammer. He laughed. I hung up.

On 2/23/22, I received a voicemail stating that a purchase of $1,279.00 was applied to my Amazon account. I was asked to make immediate contact if this was not done by me. On calling back, my suspicions were raised as the person on the other end didn’t introduce himself as part of the Amazon team. What struck me further was that there was a noisy background. No professionalism in the approach to me as an enquiring customer. However I confirmed that my account was hacked as the individual was able to confirm what my last purchase was for. I told him that they were indulging in fraudulent activity. They quickly hung up the phone. On calling Amazon, the

big difference was the voice message welcoming me to customer service at Amazon. I then proceeded to notify them of my experience. The Amazon team asked for the telephone number for the criminals; I provided the numbers that I have provided you. They will have their investigative fraud team review. My account is now closed. Thank you for whatever follow-up can be done by your organization. You are a national treasure.

Someone called claiming to be from Amazon from a Vancouver number before 6:00 am. I was asleep and disoriented. They asked for me and wanted to confirm that I ordered/didn’t order a $3000 fishing boat, which I did not- as if she needed to clarify an order. She said ok and hung up. She didn’t ask for personal information and it didn’t seem odd in my sleepy haze, until after I hung up and realized she called me Mrs (my husband’s name), something I’ve never used, and certainly not on Amazon. I’m not sure if they were confirirming my name and number or if I was too tired and confused to try and bamboozle further.

I received two calls on my cell phone yesterday supposedly from Amazon. Calling about an account they say I have and a charge for $749. I don't have an account with them. The phone call came from +4917640531990. It doesn't look like a real phone number. When I spoke with them they hung up on me when I told them I did not have an Amazon account. I want to report the calls.

I received email saying my Amazon prime was due to expire same day so I filled out everything even my SSI #. After I clicked send I checked my Amazon acct. payment wasn’t due till April. I canceled my credit card. Changed my password and contacted Equifax etc to freeze credit. It’s and state tax were contacted. Every where we have a few dollars have been put on notice. Lot of work for a stupid mistake.

They claimed I had a large order on my amazon account. I don't have an account with them.

The initial call said that someone was trying to purchase a Mac book pro of a purchase over $1000. I hit 1, got a man on the phone. He then told me that he shut down my account & asked if I knew two addresses. Afterwards he told me that my social security number was at risk & I wold need to be forwarded to social security. He forwarded me, but I hung up after that.

Email sent stating I had a refund coming from Amazon. They tried to gain remote access to my phone to compromise my personal info
