My roomates nephews dad purchased an item through Amazon. His dad lives out of the country. On Sunday 6th Steven my nephew tracked the package #289398098316 item was to be computer speakers it showed the package was delivered. The package was not delivered to the right address. I called Fedex to let them know the package was mis delivered. fedex driver was to go back and get the package but I was to give Fedex 24 hours to retrieve it. But Fedex was unable to retrieve it that I was to contact Amazon. So on Feb 9th I contacted Amazon at the number above. The woman I talked to wanted access to my computer so she could give me the refund and another package would be sent out and a refund for the trouble would be given. So as this man was suppose to give the refund to my account he put in the wrong refund amount. It was to be $140.00 refund and he put in $1400.00 and then told me that I had to go purchase Google cards because the mistake of the amount was given. The $1400.00 never hit my account he never was able to get into my account. I had left the house then when I got back to my house the Camera on my laptop was access it showed me coming into my apt. I called this guy back since he gave me his number and told him he was trying to scam me. I hung up. So I called the number got a different guy explained the situation to him he tried to get me to get on my laptop so he could do the same thing I told him I already talked to this other guy and he hung up on me.

A Man called saying he was from Amazon and that I had $799.00 that has not been paid for a Amazon delivery, I told him I never had a amazon account and don't want an account. The man also had my name.

We received a phone call from Amazon trying to scam us for $995.50. Said we owe that amount. We don't have an Amazon account. Press one to dispute the charge. I pressed number one. A man came on the phone. He wanted me to put the money on an Amazon card. He asked if we lived close to a CVS store to get the card. We did not get the card. The number in our caller ID was 412-963-6524. We wanted to report the scam call.

"Thank you for your order" was on the fake invoice & the amount of $1399.50. Several reasons given to contact the number: if I wanted to change something or if this was in error, etc. I deleted because I have not ordered anything for any amount

I received a phone call a little while ago from Amazon. Callers name was Chester. He said I owe Amazon $700. I don't have the exact amount. I was in total shock. I was wondering if you had any complaints on this. I don't even have an Amazon account. He gave me a phone number to call back 206-504-7753. I wondered if my Grandkids did this. I did not call the number back.

I was contacted by phone. The scammers said someone had hacked my Amazon account and they were trying to help me get the charges taken off of my account. They wanted to know if my account started with a 4 or 5 and how much I had in my bank account. They wanted to connect me with my bank. Which would not have actually been my bank. That's when I told them I would contact my bank and they hung up.

Scammer saying I bought a laptop computer from them (Amazon) which I did not. This was an email. I want to report it to stop it or for you to put out a scam alert.

Authorize a charge to your Amazon account of 1500.00 for a ipad and iphone pro ear pods press 1 to say yes or press 2 to decline then hung up. Got another same call an hour later from different number and State

I got a call that said there was a large amount of money charged to my account for an iPhone. This is untrue just a scam I believe to get my information.

This phone number (608-516-9878) called my phone. It was an Auto message saying, You have a purchase of a MacBook and Ipod on your Amazon account for $1000+. To cancel this order press #__ or..... I wasn't going to stay on and listen to the rest for safety purposes, and 1. because I haven't been on my Amazon account for probably 3-4 years, so it might not even be active.

2. I haven't made any purchase like that and if I did, I would go through Apple, not Amazon.

3. I can check my credit card and see if the scam charges are true vs finding a PW for Amazon to see if the purchase was true.

I'm guessing they wanted to keep me on the phone to get a recorded voice to say certain words. Unfortunately all the reverse phone number look ups want a paid account so all I could do is see that the number is located in Madison, no other information without paying.

Called back multiple times, was finally answered fourth time. When I asked about the legitimacy of the charge and the questionable name, was immediately verbally accosted with a slew of vulgarities and question of my employement, I obliged and said “only business I have is figuring you out.”

Phone number included. I can be reached at ********** or at ***************************

He called my cell phone and said he was Alex from Amazon Customer Service. Asked if I was trying to buy an Iphone for $990. Wanted to know if anyone else would be buying it. He said the purchase was coming from Alaska. He wanted me to sign into my Amazon account through my phone and I said I wasn't going to do that on my phone. He told me to open it through the computer. I told him I was at work. I did sign on to the computer and I saw there was a security area. He said "don't select that" open a new tab and enter anydesk.com He gave me his ID # DC9874 and S19 was another one of his numbers. He offered for me to speak to his Supervisor to which I said so I can speak to another scammer. I alerted my boss who said he is not from Amazon. I immediately changed my password on Amazon. This did shake me a bit.

I've recently received several emails from an alleged "Billing-Team" for amazon informing me that an order has been dispatched and is on the way, however I NEVER ORDERED ANYTHING from amazon in the amount listed- $1799.00/ASUS ROG Strix (2021) Gaming Laptop! I immediately contacted the REAL Business ( Amazon) and they confirmed that this was most definitely not anything that they had record or nor showing in their systems. This is a SCAM attempting to collect money from random people or has illegally or has illegally gained access to personal emails.

I think this is a phishing scam, but could be online purchase. Was contacted by a robo-service from Racine, WI, saying that it was from Amazon and it was calling about a recent purchase of an IPhone (or IPad, I can't remember) for $900+. It then said to press 1 if I hadn't made that purchase. Pressed one and was connected to someone who asked for my name and zip code so they could 'look it up'. By then, I had been looking at my Amazon account and saw nothing weird. Googled and saw that this exact thing is a scammer. Hung up on them and came here to report it. On the questions below, I don't know if I have actually had my identity stolen or money stolen, yet. Since I hung up on them, I don't know what they were ultimately after. Hopefully will never need to find out...

Received call from Amazon saying that $1299.00 was taken out my Amazon Account. And I received a text that $999.00 was charged to my Amazon Account. I did not speak with them. I called my bank and the charges had not gone through. Seems the Amazon Imposter had wanted me to call them. I did not call them. Received text from 505-720-9180 and called from 866-312-7655.

I Google searched Amazon customer service number and this is the site I clicked on. Called one number and spoke with someone that called me back from the number I have listed in report. I was looking for credit for an Amazon purchase I made that had a price difference. I was told by this individual that I needed to establish a credit and needed to purchase prepaid gift cards to get my money back. After several attempts I was informed that the cards I purchased were not active and had to buy more cards. This person was very convincing and threatening to me I didn't realize that I was being scammed until it was too far and one out of my hands. I am so distraught from this encounter and I hope something can be done to help me and others from this happening again.

Was very concerned. Tried to be helpful. Asked for money cards as refund repayment.
