Amazon Imposter Reports & Reviews (1312)

I was call on November by this number 1(702)279-8664 at 14:16 pm claiming that I was victim of a fraudulent transaction by amazon using my credit card for a $1,800, 00 for the purchase of a iPhone 11 Pro .I did the press the number one for contact or to speak to a representative and a person with Indian accent try to talk to me; giving a different name from my real name. I give them a different fake name the soonest I felt it was a scammer. I pretend I did no speak very well English and i hung up! I did send a text message letting them know that I will contact the ScamPulse.com and report them. They reply to my right away asking, Who the F^&7& is you ..on the next line they wrote Better business bureau? lol. then I got another call fifteen minutes late at 14:30 pm asking why did I called the number some one speaking English normal. After that I blocked the number on my telephone. Thank you for you help and i hope you can stop this people for trying to trick people and take advantage of them .

E-mail from [email protected] claiming to be from amazon. I do not have an amazon account. The e-mail contained a PDF file.

I am the victim of a scam -- it is known as Amazon ID Theft Scam where the scammers have you purchase gift cards from other companies, send them the info and they "credit the card used with the purchases -- NOT. Very sophisticated. They get info from your Amazon shopping account, call you and say you are victim of ID theft - they have your credit card(s) info associated with the account, your address, orders placed, etc. and SCARE YOU TO DEATH about ID theft. Since there is no Amazon "store" in yur town you are instructed to go in certain local stores, purchase gift cards for $500, show your ID so they can 'verify' you are who you say you are and they can then cancel orders made on Amazon. They keep you on the phone while you go in so they can hear you are being identified prior to the purchase. They send fake msgs that funds have been successfully deposited to your account to cover the cost of the gift cards you purchase. Have reported to FTC. NC Attorney General, in process of others. When I talked to Amazon about it all - they assured me my account was secure and to change PW. However, there were 2 items in my cart for $1000+/- that I did not put there nor ever would have even looked at. They know if this scam but do not seem to care. Do not fall for this as I did -- now I have to repay $4000 for my fear.

Called this PM by a "Mark Wings", who gave ID of "M107V". Bad phone connection. Heavy Indian accent. Said someone in Dayton, Ohio had charged my Amazon account for $1499 for computer equipment. I told him that was bull[censored]. Wanted me to download an app called "Anytime" on the app store -- for which at least 20 apps appear. Couldn't explain clearly which app he wanted downloaded. Wanted me to switch from a Safari to a Google browser to access the software. I told him I don't use Google, or Chrome as all I get from then is swamped with junk mail. The bad phone connection persisted, so he gave me a callback number of 206 582 6055. Hold him I would also call Amazon Security. He said if I did, that was fine, as it would connect to him anyway. The phone number he gave appears on this site as a hoax. I reported all details in writing to Amazon Security (They don't take voice calls). . So far, no such charge has appeared on any of my credit card accounts with Amazon. And no callbacks from Indian hoaxers called "Mark Wings". So, like General Halftrack in "Beetle Bailey", here I sit by my phone, awaiting my call from the Pentagon.

Says my Amazon account is being used to buy telephones.

Scammer claimed to be a representative from Amazon. The 'elderly consumer' answered the phone and hung up immediately after the scammer said she had a $1400.00 purchase on her Amazon account. She does not have an Amazon account.

I answered a call from Amazon. The caller told me someone is trying to go in my bank account for almost $2000. I told them I did not purchase anything. They have the wrong person. The caller hung up. I think the number that called me was 216-522-7095.

Call came in that there were fraudulent charges on my Amazon account.

It was an automated system. Do not answer or initiate contact with them.

Cell phone call, "This is Amazon. You have a $1,500 purchase. If you do not authorize this order to cancel, press one."

They called three times from local phone numbers. I called one number and got a residence.

It seems to be worded so that you might think you have to dial 1 to cancel the order. I have no order for $1,500.

+1

They called me and claimed that someone was using my account to make a fraudulent purchase and that I needed to pay for it or cancel the order by giving them my information.

I was contacted by someone whom appeared to be from Amazon, seemed legitimate, however, I was ultimately scammed out of money on gift card. I have kept all of the gift cards, receipts, all emails and phone number.

Caller said my Amazon account had been debited for $1537.35 and if I did not authorize such purchase I should press 1 to get in touch with an Amazon customer representative. Received 2 calls for different amounts November 2, 2021 and one call November 1, 2021. I just hung up. So scary to get these calls even though I know it is probably a scam. Always seem to get these calls after I have ordered something from Amazon.

I received a call at 2:07 pm stating there was a charge to my account. The charge was made in Dayton Ohio.

She identified herself as Casey Parker with employee number AMZ09886.

She told me that l had to go to Play Store and download Team Viewer. I did not install it . I told her she was a scam and I hung up.

I called Amazon Support they told me there were no charges on my account.

She said she was from Amazon.

This is the second time a person has called me to report suspicious activity on my Amazon account to the amount of 1500.

Received a call from a person claiming they were from Amazon stating there was a suspicious charge of $1300 for the new version of the IPhone on my account and wanted me to go to my computer so they could walk me through cancelling the charge. When I looked at my account I did not see anything suspicious. They claimed I wouldn't be able to see it... the person kept asking what kind of computer I had to help with canceling the charge. They said don't you have a Mac and I said no. I thought my gut was right this is a scam. Concerns were my daughter just got the new IPhone and has a Mac computer. I immediately contacted her about the scam.

I received a text message at 11:31 AM 10/25/2021. It read: "TD-PPL Online order placed #AMZ92695 for Macbook Pro Laptop Amount of $1299.99 will be autodeducted from your paypal. Not you? Call us at 1206-710-2638."

I tried to call amazon about a package marked delivered but was not delivered. The person on the phone told me I needed to verify my account but then had $423 from me. I stayed on the phone for hours trying to get my money back and they only sent $120 back. It sounds like the money I got back was also part of their scam against other people and my refund came from them. I have made a dispute with my bank. This was a very convincing scammer, I totally believed it was amazon

I was notified that I had a pending 700$ charge on Amazon and she was verifying the charge. I hung up and called Amazon as it was a scam call.

I received a phone call showing that Amazon was calling. I answered the phone and receivec a robocall stating there was a charge of $729.00 going to my Amazon account and to press 1 to talk to a representative, which I did. During this conversation the representative wanted information about me and wanted to open my account by using password ANYDESK, which would give them access to my account. I told the representative I was going to call Amazon directly to discuss this, I was in my account and found no suspicious activity

on my account. I informed the representative of this and she said they were holding the charge back and that is why it is not showing on my account. During this call I heard many people in the background talking on phones, almost making difficult to hear the representative. As I continued to tell her I was going to call Amazon directly she then gave me a number to reach Amazon, 262-479-5755. During this time my husband looked up this number and it was a number for Any Desk company, which is a phishing sight. If they had gotten into my Amazon account they would have had access to my entire computer system and all the information on my computer. I called Amazon directly and made a report to them, they gurantied my account was secure and advised me to make a report to the Federal Trade Commission, which I did. A few days later this company called me again but I did not pick up. Just want to report this phishing scam that is happening with accounts and bogus charges that are claimed to be on your accounts.
