Called my husband asking if he purchased an iPhone. Scammer then said the iPhone was purchased by someone in Georgia.

Scammer proceeded to tell my husband to go to Zelle app. to transfer money ($200) to TARA HICKS.Scammer asked if we had a good bit of money in the bank. We told him yes.Whe the transaction didn't go through, scammer wanted to know if we used PAYPAL. We said no.When we asked why he needed this money, he said to set up scammer (TARA HICKS) to be able to catch her & report her to police.

Scammer then told us to purchase a gift card for $200 from EBAY. So we did then scammer called back & asked for the card number & assured us that AMAZON would reimburse us for the $200. Then scammer said that had gotten rid of 50 out of the 158 scammers that he saw with my husband's debit card number. He then wanted for us to go purchase 5 EBAY cards for $200 each !

Then I told him I didn't have that much money & I was ill & had to get off the phone & go home.

Scammer agreed & said he'd call me back in one hour & he'd figure out some other way to get rid of the rest of the scammers. HE NEVER CALLED BACK! PS. Scammer asked me to go to my messaging to confirm that AMAZON had reimbursed me. When I checked my husband's messages

It was there, so I didn't check bank app. at that moment.

I checked bank app. when I got home & there was no deposit made for $200. Only the debit for the

$200 !!!!

Received a call about 9 am this morning from a gentleman claiming he was with Amazon and that I had made a purchase from Amazon for around $280 dollars. I have not made any Amazon purchases and I knew he was lying as I had not made any purchases from Amazon around that time. I hung up almost immediately but wanted to report it to warn other people.

Received a call from an individual with an Indian accent stating there was fraud on my Amazon account (I don't have an Amazon account). He requested information about the account but I would not give him any information.

A guy called my cell phone and said he was a rep from Amazon fraud department and that I was I purchased an online order through Amazon for over $1,400 he tried then to have me download an app called any desk on Play store he then tried to get me to install it that's when I said I wasn't dressing him and that I was going to hang up and call the Amazon fire department myself to find out what was going on with my account and that I didn't trust him and he then hung up on me

Rep reached out saying my account was hacked

Fake amazon call

I wanted to report two scam calls my elderly mother received on her cell phone. The first call was from phone number 216-428-3318. It came up scam likely. The caller did not say anything and hung up. The second call on my mothers phone was from phone number 216-318-8689. Showed scam likely. I answered the call. It was a recording saying it was Amazon. Someone had made a $300 purchase. I don't have the exact amount. The recording stated If I did not make the purchase stay on the line. Thinking it was a scam I hung up. I called the number back. 216-318-8689. It was a busy signal.

Person called stating someone tried to make a purchase with my Amazon account. I looked, no purchases have been made from my account.

Sent text first stating an order was placed with my credit card. Claimed to be from Amazon. Hung up once I asked to repeat card number to confirm.

I received a text from 772-243-0026 that said the following:

AmaznAletrs: Dear customer your Order #189843 is approved. $759.80 will be debited from your card. Contact Customer Care 18556084092 if not authorized by you.

I googled this and found that it is a scam. I have blocked the # from my phone and am making this report. I can imagine that anyone might take this as real and could be taken for a lot of $ if not careful, especially the elderly.

Wednesday (I ordered from Amazon) my husband received a phone call on his work phone. They told him someone purchase $999.00 and it is being charged to our Amazon Credit Card. This concerned me since I placed an order a few minutes before. So I filed a complaint with Amazon. Yesterday I ordered from Amazon and this time they called my land line, I don't answer numbers I don't know or unknown caller calls. I have a list of about 1,000 spam calls I have received, since I'm on the no call list but never turned them in. But yesterday they started calling at something like 3PM cst and called every 10-15 minutes last call was like 9:30PM

message said - (no ID lead in) If you have made this purchase & recognize simply hang up the call and you will receive the item at your address in 3 - 5 business days. a young man claiming to be from Amazon.com called to let me know there has been some suspicious shopping activity on my amazon account. he claimed someone bought an I-phone for over 900$ on my account from Dayton, Ohio. he asked me if I knew anyone from Dayton Ohio. I said no I do not, and I did not order an I-phone. he said ok in order to cancel this order we need you to download an app on your phone called "anydesk" from what I can see its a remote desktop app. I did not download it and told him that this is very suspicious and that I am uncomfortable downloading anything to my phone that a stranger asks me to download. He proceeded to argue and said not to worry, that this is nothing suspicious and to please download it. I ended up hanging up on him and still did not download it. I checked my amazon account and bank account to make sure, and there were no purchases so I knew this was a fraud. scammers are getting very bold so wanted to report this incase anyone else gets these calls.
