I contacted them asking if they got my application and they claimed they don't unless payment is submitted.
I pray that is the truth and my information is safe.

I understand that filing services aren't inherently breaking any laws and aren't technically "wrong". However, this website marketed like they were the IRS, enough to fool me into thinking they were, and prayed upon the fact that some people may not know that obtaining an EIN number is free directly through the IRS. It wasn't until after all was said and done that I realized what happened and that I was fooled into thinking this was something that it was not. While this may not be a scam in legal terms and definitions, they are in ways making themselves seem like they are the IRS and doing shady business. Do not pay a dime to get an EIN number when you can do it free with the IRS directly.
I am still in the process of confirming whether or not the document they provided to me is fake. Even if it is not, I am honestly worried what they will do with my personal information.
