We received an automated call claiming that its from the IRS and that they are filing a law suit against the business. When we called they had no idea what business we were, they used foul language when we said they were not from the IRS as they claimed to be. They said it sounds like you have a rotten ***. You're stupid etc. They need to be reported and taken out of business, they are only harassing business owners.

Recorded voices says IRS is going to sue me and I should call this number. 309-281-0240 for information. Message was left on my voice mail. Not going to call! This is the second time I have been contacted in this manner by this number. Two calls on the same day.

Someone identify himself as Officer with Internal Revenue Service left a voice mail on my cell phone, 07/13/2016, time: 4:07 pm. Concerning a issuse needing immediately action by me or attonery before further proceedings happen against, Case #: CF93271. He left a call back number, 202-558-2387, Daniel Wyman. Do the IRS contact individual by personal telephone calls? I appreciate you looking into this issuse. Thank in advance.

I received a call from Andy Brown who said he was with the IRS and I owed taxes and was going to be arrested. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said the was a supervisor, so I asked to speak to his boss and he hung up on me.

Got a call yesterday from a guy claiming to be from the IRS. Told me i had a lawsuit against me for fraud and that i owed them $5476 dollars. He stated that i had to have some type of payment that day or he was going to send the sherrif to my apartment and i would be put in jail from 8-9 yrs. So of course i listened like an [censored] he told me to put the money on an itunes card and read off the number to him. Then he kept asking for more money so i looked up the number and found out it was a scam and had my aunt explain to me that the IRS does not call people. I confronted him about it, told him i was reporting him to the police and he hung up and haven't called back since.

A Rockford resident received an automated call from a unknown person claiming to be a representative of the IRS calling to notify them a law suit is being filed against them and they must call the following number back immediately to avoid any further legal action

The Caller left a message saying they were the irs and they had been trying to reach you about a bill but since it wasn't paid they were bringing a lawsuit against me. I got the same message a year ago, so I called the irs ( not the scam #). The irs said I didn't have any bills.
