I received a phone call from 309-237-2489 with an ID of Bushnell. That is one of my Doctors names so I answered the call. I was confused when they said my new Medicare card was mailed did I get it. I responded no. Then they wanted me to check my card and give them info. I stated I did not have time to look. They said they would call back.

A computer generated call initiates the phone call and states they are from Elder Care and are asking if we need help and if we are already on Medicare/Medicaid. Then you are transferred to someone and when you ask to be removed from their call list they hang up on you.

Lady called 11:17 a.m. 10-3-2023 claiming to be from Medicare, said call was being recorded. Wanted to know if my new medicare, plastic, gold card had been received. (no) Wanted to get my card number. I did not give it to her. I did give her my ssn number. (big mistake) She had my health info, address, phone number, health diagnoses. She kept assuring me she was from Medicare. I was suspicious. She said in two minutes another call from "Alex" will be dialed to confirm and finalize my order for my Medicare card and to activate my benefits. Her call came from 518-XXX-XXXX listed as Dept of energy. I called Medicare. Message on phone said they do not do Phone calls to people. I received a call from "alex". It was listed as HM, 301-XXX-XXXX. I told him I was suspicious and that Medicare did not call people. He assured me he was from Medicare. He had all my info except medicare number. I told him to delete my SSN number, He said he was only verifying my info and benefits. I told him I have a medicare book of benefits I can read. I terminated the call. Larry Lorentsen from Sun Health Diagnostics LLC in Hudson FL mailed my father Covid tests. My dad did not order these tests. This is a Medicare SCAM. He then proceeds to bill Medicare $200 for 4 kits. He has mailed 2 different kits to my father. Good thing Medicare denied the charges.

They call pretending to be with Medicare. They call every single day even though I request to be removed from their list. The numbers all start with (404) and most are similar to my phone number. Also, they are targeting my mother and others who live in a 55 and older community. Can someone please help with this as it has gotten out of control.

They asked him for medicare info to send him swab tests to identify immune problems. I Sked who it was and when he said Medicare I said this is a scam - hang up phone. Received a phone call identified as calling from Medicare stating they were sending me a free package to help me with knee and wrist pain. They proceeded to verify my account information which I did verify. Then I was transferred to another person who had a few questions about my level of pain when I get leg pain on a scalle of 1 to 10. I said I really don't suffer leg pain other than occasional when I over do it. He repeated when I do get leg pain is it medium of severe pain. I repeated it's not that bad. He repeatedly asked me is it medium pain or severe pain. I just wanted the call to end because I was busy at work, so I said medium I guess, to get him off the phone. I received a package in the mail with the braces, which I don't want and would like to return. I tried to call the number in the package and it doesn't connect. I then looked up the company online and the online phone number does not connect. Here is the company name in the package: Georgia Bracing & Medical Supplies, Inc. 32 B Town Square Blairsville, GA 30512 866-958-6768 706-222-7313 Here is the address on the UPS label: Progressive Supplies Stat 15101 US Hwy 19 Hudson, FL 34667-3606 732-378-4147 (which is a fax line) Online also has a listing for: Progressive Supplies Stat, LLC 9131 MARK TWAIN LN. PORT RICHEY, FL 34668

Person called claiming to be from Medicare telling me I was eligible for a discount on my monthly charge and that it might be $176. He asked if I was from Michigan, I said yes, and the phone then shut off. The number he called from was 313-476-3908.

Individual called claiming to be from medicare. The topic focused on back and knee. The caller ID read Out of Area.

+19283829106 This number called me on a business line so I called back. I got an automated message for Medicare and how they could help me. When I followed the prompts it led me to a nice sounding male who claimed they were working for medicare and asked if I had Medicare already. I let them know I did not and asked how they made calls and obtained the numbers they were calling. He claimed they do not make outbound calls so I let him know I had a missed call from them and he just denied it and let me know they are with Medicare. It sounded very convincing. So I hung up with the gentleman. I wanted to make sure so I called back again and this time got all circuits busy.

I used a different number to call it again and got the automated message again. After the prompts this time got a nice woman who sounded very professional.

I hung up and tried calling again and got the all circuits busy again.

Unfortunately i get these calls a lot from owning a business. This is definitely a scam targeting older people. I hope this helps and you look up the number before giving any personal information.

On the internet there appears adds, either to the right side or squeezes itself in between lines where you are reading. It says over 65, Social Security is giving a Stimulas Check for $900, click here. They then say first answer these seven questions to see if you qualify. They ask, name, address, phone, date of birth, and email address. They immediately call you, claim they no nothing of the $900 . I ask who they are and why are they calling, they answer with a question if I have a Medicare Supplement I break in and tell them I want the $900, they then hang up. While filling out this report, another one call came in, the phone number is 419-370-2863, they call at 6:18 pm. from Allied Insurance when I called them back, like all the rest of the calls it says UNKNOWN on the screen.

I called this last number back, they said Allied Insurance how can I help you, I told here I am turning them over to the Better Business Bureau, she said, "OK sounds good" and hung up.

Medicare Imposter, asking for Medicare info for a new card with a chip.

I received a text stating "this is truly embarrassing. We overcharged you on your MedCare. Use your number to get your reimbursement today." And a website was provided.

The caller said they were from Medicare and asked to speak to a relative who has been deceased for months. He refused to tell me who he actually worked for, refused to remove me from the call list, and hung up when I asked to speak to his supervisor.

I am 80 yrs old. I received a call from a woman who said I would need a replacement Medicare card. She said the red, white and blue card was being discontinued and she needed to send me a new card. I gave her my Social Security number, name, and address.

You missed your mother's maiden name and bank! If you're lucky, your Social Security benefits are direct deposit and they can't do anything with the data. You might look into id theft protection.

Good luck
