I received a call at 910am from an male individual claiming to be from Medicare. He wanted to mail me a new card, but he needed to verify my information. He asked for my ethnic background and date of birth. I asked him why he was asking me this, as he should have already had this information. I asked for a supervisor to speak to, and he hung up on me.

I received a scam call from Medicare . Ann Iranian man called and he had my phone number and address. He asked me questions about my husbands injury but asked me what was the injury. I told him that if he was calling about that he should already know all the information he was asking me. He hung up on me after I asked him that. I called the number that came on the caller ID but no one answered. A lady called me back and asked why I called her and I told her about the call and the caller ID had her phone number. She is an elderly 95 year old lady from Claude. I explained to her that someone spoofed her number to call me on Medicare fraud.

Caller was from outside the country and we do not have caller ID. We try to get as much information from the scammers as possible.

Scammer asked if I had the new Medicare Green and White card. I said no, I only have the one with my social security number on it (playing like I did not have the new one with the random characters. Scammer then asked for the name and number on the card. I advised him that he called me and had my information in his computer. He said he needed to verify it. I replied can I have your number and I will call you back. He said this is the last call they will make to me and that his supervisor will explain everything to me. At that point the call was disconnected.

We receive many of this phishing calls. This happens to be a new twist on the medicare scam. Of course, no one has received their Green and White card yet. There isn't one.

When I answered the home phone, a female voice stated that she was calling from Medicare, and the call was being recorded. She then asked, "Can you hear me?" I responded , "Yes" before realizing this can be a scam. The line went dead after I answered with 'yes'.

I was expecting a callback from Medicare. I answered the phone. She said "This is Chrissy with Medicare. Can you hear me?" I said YES. I redialed the number (614) 768-7835 and got the same recording and I said NO. I redialed for a 2nd time and got a message asking me to press 1 for a customer service agent. I pressed one, the recording said said: "Thank you for calling customer service. Please press 1 to speak with a representative or press 2 to be added to our do not call list. I pressed 1 and the recording said "No customer service reps are available at this time please email [email protected]".

This is a Medicare scam originating in the Philippines. They are relentless in their phone calling attempts by using your area code and exchange and change the last 4 digits of the number when they call back — usually immediately. They want your Medicare insurance information and your secondary health insurance under the guise of you obtaining FREE orthopedic devices for your ailments. These people have driven me to the point of stress and anxiety. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE BY THE PHONE COMPANIES TO PROSECUTE THESE PEOPLE THAT PREY ON ELDERLY PEOPLE WHO REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON.

I said yes warily to a woman called Kristy saying she was calling from medicare on a pre-recorded line asking if I could hear

her OK. Then it went into dead space. I used *69 to call back and it did the same. I realized I shouldn't have said yes.

Now I'm concerned.

retired from the government sooooo tired of getting calls that I'll be cut off from Medicare. I never answer an unknown number but it happens so often I'm ready to change my phone number. It would be a inconvenient for me to change my number. Can't somebody do something. I feel if important they would leave a message and _____ don"t they saying I will be dropped from Medicare if I don't respond. OH OK don't think so. Really bad people out there.
