Rec'd call on Saturday claiming to be from Medicare, they gave me an ID number and the last name Gomez, and they wanted our new medicare numbers because they were going to send out new plastic cards, but they wanted us to give them our numbers to verify but that seemed questionable. When I started asking questions, they hung up.

This number called my 94 year old mom wanting to talk to her about her Medicare card at 8:30 in the evening. Too bad....she still has more brains than most.

My brother received a phone call about a common Medicare scam, to receive a "free" back brace and knee brace. He is disabled and lives in an assisted living facility. UPS attempted to deliver the equipment to an empty house that my brother used to live in. The package required a signature so it was not delivered. Later, I happened to be at my brother's apartment and answered a call from someone who said they were calling from Medicare to verify receipt of the back and knee brace. After some discussion I realized it was a scam and told them we would not accept delivery of the package and to not call again. They hung up the phone. I guess the package will eventually be returned to the sender by UPS.

This man called saying his name was Sean, he had a very thick Indian accent, he told me to remove all of the numbers that have been calling me about braces, up to 38 calls a day he could stop it if I gave him information on a recorded line. I kept refusing to do or say what he wanted on the recording he got more and more frustrated started asking if I was slow in the head if there was something wrong with me He told me I was wasting his time and he would not let me talk to his supervisor, he talked over me would not let me get a word in edgewise and was so rude he actually told me to go to HE!! If you know what I mean. I am so tired of these sales people claiming to be from Medicare or some health place trying to get me to buy braces mostly but sometimes cancer screenings and massagers. My phone is been useless for three months because I had to keep that constantly on silent, I missing important calls and while I’m on calls I’m getting so many calls in the background I can’t understand what people are saying. I’m desperate for this to stop!! Please help

They called on the phone with caller ID giving the number on the back of the card. They tell you you qualify for a free knee and neck brace. They want to send it to you even if you don’t want or need it. They know your name , address and birthdate. They want to verify your Medicare number. I hung up on them twice and they kept calling. Hate these people.

Picked up the phone which came in on area code 918. First talked to a woman with a foreign accent, possibly East Indian or Pakistani. She said she was calling on behalf of Medicare. She talked at length about providing me with a back and knee brace. I admitted to having back pain. Then she passed me on to a man with the same type of accent. He asked the exact questions. I got inpatient with the time this was taking and told so. By that time I realized that it was a scam.

My phone rings all day long with numbers I don't recognize. I am so tired of these calls that I decided to start answering them thinking I could get rid of them myself. Big mistake!

My parents, both senior citizens, have received numerous calls from different numbers trying to get my father to discuss a back brace or knee brace, neither of which he needs nor did he request. I have spoken to the caller and told them to remove their number from the list. Caller has hung up in my face, told me he didn't want to talk to me, wouldn't give a name, said he would keep calling back when I told him that I've blocked the numbers he's tried calling from. Please beware and do not let your elderly parents/loved ones fall for this scam. 11/21/2018

Caller said he was from Medicare and had free benefits. Just needed to verify information starting with my birthdate. I asked if this could be done online, and he said no. Only by phone. Accent might indicate that he is not in US.

Received a telephone call from an individual with a heavy accent claiming to be "Mike from Medicare" and asked for the last four digits of my SS number. He denied trying to sell anything and refused to give any purpose for his call if I wouldn't give him the information. At that point I ended the call

813-525-6225 called me 3 times in an hour without leaving a voicemail. I usually don't answer calls from unknown numbers but because they called 3 times I picked up. The phone said Bardalese, Lesman and the caller was a woman with an accent. The woman said she heard my husband has a knee/back issue and Medicare now has new products to help him with that. My husband doesn't have knee or back issues so I knew it was a scam. I was very careful not to say "yes" to anything and just told the woman I had to hang up.

I received a call from the above number telling me that they were calling from Medicare. They offered me braces for free for my knee, back and ankle, even though I didn't need any braces. I told them this and they said they would send them for my future use. The first gentleman asked me for the first 5 digits of my Medicare Card, which is the first 5 digits of my Social security number, which I did provide to him. Then they gave me to a doctor and he asked me all kinds of questions about pain and medications. He did not seem to know any of the medications I am on, which I found odd as well. I was then transferred to another individual who wanted to send me a gift card. I had to pay for the gift card with a credit card which I refused and then they hung up. I have reported the incident to my Bank, to Medicare and the Federal Trade Commission.

Received a call from a man with a mid-Eastern accent saying he was calling from Medicare to see if I had received my new card. There was a lot of "call center" type noise in the background. I asked if I could call back and he gave me the same number he had called in on, said his ID # was MC5521 and his name was Moses McDaniel. I checked the number on whitepages and its says it's scam. This need to be brought to the public's attention. I'm not sure what they are asking for, but someone is going to think it's legit and give out information they shouldn't!

guy with Middle eastern accent called with lots of "call center-like" noise in the background. He told me he's from medicare and trying to update my information for 2019 benefits. Asked me the best number to reach me and named the number he had just dialed. He did not know my name. He told me I lived in WI, and asked if that was correct. I told him I wasn't going to answer that. I asked him why he was calling and he said he needed to send me an EOB for 2019 healthcare. He then asked me who my primary Dr was. I didn't answer, and then he asked if I had seen my Dr in 1 month or 2 months ago, I said I didn't know. He then asked me who my Dr and what facility it was, to which I responded that I did not need to disclose that information. He then hung up on me.

This week we received 2 phone calls from someone with a heavy Indian or Pakistani accent claiming to be from Medicare and asking if I had received my new Medicare card. They asked for me by name, so probably already knew I am of the right age to be on Medicare. The scam is that if one says the new card has not come, they just need to know my social security number and date of birth to send a new card right away.

My partner has answered the phone on both of these calls and simply strings the caller along until the scammer hangs up. But I think this scam needs some publicity.
