got a call from people claiming to be medicare. stated that they wanted to sell me medical equipment. they had majority of my information so i thought that it was legitimate. Did not give them extra info because it just didn't seem right for medicare to be calling me about equipment i don't need.

This person called my Dad's cell phone asking for his Medicare number to receive a saliva kit. He also talked about the vaccine. My dad said he was going to get his Medicare number and call back in 5 min. The guy called back and my dad asked him why he needed his Medicare number. The guy on the phone said he already had it so it didn't matter. And my dad asked him to read off his number and he did have it! My dad said that the guy was calling from West Florida but called from a Tennessee area code. My dad realized it was a scam and hung up.

May different long distant and local numbers used. Asks if I can hear them I said yes and they hang up. Or calls saying they are from Medicare gets me to say OK and then hangs up.

I received a phone call this morning from Medicare. The man was difficult to understand. The number in my caller ID was 440-997-8658. He asked if i had my new Medicare card yet or if I had my old one. I said I had my new card. He said a couple of things I could not understand. He started asking me about my height and weight. I told him he did not need that information. He was getting to personal. I hung up. I would never give any numbers out. It sounded like he was heading that way.

Received call from woman leaving me a message about a person I know in a nursing home, they gave the patients full name and stated that they needed information on re-certification of Medicare to continue her stay in nursing home, I am listed by patient as contact. I called woman back , voicemail was full, but she immediately called me back and gave me the same info she left on voicemail, I told her the patient doesn’t have anything and needs to stay where she’s at, the whole time this woman is chuckling so I ended the call and felt uneasy all nite, got up and went to the bbb site for scams, I realized there was no business name intro when called either only voicemail full, after checking the number it is also listed internationally as well, no vital verbal info was given out but I’m checking my accounts to be safe and alerted the nursing home that there internal records might have been hacked. I’ve since blocked this number but I’m sure they will find another, most of these calls from this number came in as unknown caller over a period of 2 weeks, when I didn’t respond they left the voice mail which them exposed the number from which they had been calling. Don’t know what financial damage they can do but don’t answer the voicemail messages no matter how detailed they are.

I keep getting calls that my SSN is in jeopardy and that someone in Texas was using my SSN. I explained to him that I had never lived in SSN. He tried to get my SSN. I asked him to tell me what is this about? He told me "since you're not going to give me information, I'm not going to share any information with you". He told me "there is no reason for me to have his name" if "I won't give him my information". He said he was with Medicare. I live in Springfield, MO.

Received a call and the caller said she was calling from Medicare . She first tried to verify my name and age asking rapidly if she was right. Next, she wanted to know if I had leg pain or joint pain which I had reported to Medicare and I said no. She then gave an inaccurate social security number with which I am sure she was trying to get me to give my actual Social Security number which I did not reveal. I asked her what the call was about and she started to repeat the leg pain and joint pain nonsense. I could here a lot of noise in the background like a call center. I stopped my conversation and ended the call. The call number appeared to be from my local area!

I just had a young guy come out here, less than 6 foot tall, couple hundred pounds, and drove a fairly new gray challenger. He had a girl with him who was short with glasses. He assured me that it would cost me $144 a month for Medicare. He came to my house in person with a shirt and tie on. His Challenger did not have Medicare on it. I called the ScamPulse.com for help. I live in Granby, MO.

Medicare is calling me and signing me up for $140 a month for Medicare. They contacted me out of the blue via a phone call. I gave them my credit card number. They called me the other day and today. I called ScamPulse.com for help. ScamPulse.com gave me the real Medicare's phone number and advised I call my CC company to get a new card issued. I will do so now.

I picked up a landline call as the caller id was a local Omaha number and the last two digits were 00.

Man with foreign accent told me he was calling from the Center for Medicare and he wanted to know if I had received the new plastic Medicare card.

I lied and said yes, which made him pause, but he said it hadn't been mailed yet because he needed information from me first.

I kept asking what is this about, thinking he was trying to sell Medicare Advantage.

He kept giving me his "government ID number."

He said he had all my information in front of him on a screen. I said if it's on the screen then why call me. He said he needed verification that the numbers I would give him would match. I said, you read me the numbers. Then I told him I would check out the Medicare website and hung up. I'm worried others would answer the questions and I don't know how the info is used to cheat the government. Thanks for this ScamPulse.com service.

I was scammed yesterday. I received a recorded call from Medicare on my home phone. It stated we have been trying to reach you. Press one to speak with a representative. I pressed one and a woman came on the line. She said hi and called me by my first name.We have all these different options for Medicare. She asked me to get my insurance card to go over benefits. I said i could not see it. Then she asked for my Social Security number. When I gave her the entire number she hung up. I pushed redial and tried to call the number back. It disconnected. I had my son check the caller ID. He said the number was unknown. I do not have the phone number. I called Social Security and reported it. They put in fraud report. I asked if they would take my Social Security. They said no. I called my bank also.
