I saw these cute pair of boots on Facebook quite a few times. so instead of buying through them, I googled and found what i THOUGHT WAS a legitimate website with the same looking item. advertised as leather for 44.88, more than FB add was selling them for $22 but I thought I was on a real business so I ordered. they came from IL, they are cheaply made, not the right color and definitely NOT leather so I contacted them and to return them I would have had to send them to Vietnam, so yes expensive to ship back or I could take a 15% refund of $6 something but I declined that and asked why I had to ship to Vietnam when they came from IL. and said I wanted half back but they only offered $13 refund which I accepted ,I figured better than nothing. so I am still out $31 dollars, I try to be so careful. live and learn I guess

On September 26, 2023, I placed an order with POPFRI of which payment was made in full to Jackie Wang ([email protected]). I have attempted to contact the company via email at POPFRI, of which the email goes to [email protected], phone number ?(504) 356-1377?, requesting a status. As of today, there has been no response since the initial acknowledgement that they had received my order. The order was confirmed on 9/26/23 via email from the company.

Sent to me via an email advertisement. Claimed to be a closing sale on “bed, bath, and beyond” products. The product was a six piece set of luggage for about $20. I never received it. Ordered about 2 1/2 months ago.

I had to add a controller to my Sonos radio as the system was old and it didn’t support the product anymore. I got the controller app on my I pad and the next day I received a fraud alert from my credit card company. I called them and they gave me a number to reach because at that point I wasn’t sure if it was the controller or not. It was something entirely different. I got a number of the company Fraavy and received an email congratulating me on my subscription. I called them immediately and told them to cancel as I did not authorize the subscription. He said he cancelled and I asked them to send me an email cancelling the subscription. He said I would receive in 24 hrs.

The scammer is displaying very nice gym shoes for sale like air jordan . jordan 1's , Air Max, Air force 1's etc when you inquire about a certain shoe he will tell you to inbox privately and then he will proceed to tell you how much the shoe cost and when you will receive the shoe from 2-4 days max but you never receive the shoe and you will let him know you did receive your shoe and ask for a refund he than go on to say you have to pay a delivery fee that is 50.00 send that still no shoe than you ask him for a refund again then he explain you will get your shoe that he is not a scammer but you have to send 80.00 more dollars because he has to pay the IRS Custom for your shoes to get delivered that was it for me i had already sent 325.00 for 2 pairs of jordan 5's than sent 50.00 for shipping and handle and still no shoes and than they blocked me.

Holiday stamps were advertised on Facebook. I clicked the advertiser link, went to the site, and ordered stamps (paid with PayPal). A week later, no stamps arrived. I checked the tracking they emailed to me, and it showed my "package" had been sitting in Brooklyn, NY all this time. I tried to reach the company via their chat ... but there's no one answering on the chat. Trying to find a way to reach them, I discovered their website was temporary, and it had to be translated from Chinese to English. I don't think the real USPS generates anything in Chinese. I've asked PayPal to reverse payment (waiting to see if it will happen), and tried to let Facebook know through their automated system...not sure I was successful there.

I was browsing Facebook and came across an ad where Balsam Hills was having a flash sale. I shopped around and found a tree that I liked. I put my address, phone number, email and bank card info in the form and ordered the product. The money was taken from my account. The transaction did not say Balsam Hill but a company called Fashion Chicdress in Colorado pulled the funds from my account. I have emailed the support email listed on the contact us page on christmasbigsales.com requesting for them to cancel my order and refund my money - no answer. I went to the Refund Policy section and added the other email addresses of [email protected] and [email protected] and got a notice on both that the [email protected] and [email protected] email addresses do not exist. The website christmasbigsales.com offers Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, decor and fall decor

I emailed the info@tossbos and was communicating with Dan Horan, who claimed to be the owner of the company. Both he and his wife Candace took turns emailing me back with details about a custom washer toss set that I was having made for my friend. The emails started on August 9, 2023 and they were both very responsive in emailing me with pictures and details about my order. On August 18, Dan claimed to be able to complete the order the following weekend. He asked for payment and I paid him via venmo as that was his preferred payment. He sent his QR code for venmo and said I could either pay half or the whole thing. I sent the whole thing-

I didnt hear from him that next week and sent an email on Sept 7, Sept 13, Sept 18, Sept 20. He finally wrote back on 9/22 saying he was on vacation and that I could pick up the washers. I told him that I needed it shipped as stated in the original email-wrote him again on Sept 22, Sept 29th, October 3, 4, and 6th and nothing. I let him know that I would be reporting him if I did not hear back from him and at this point he could just refund my money and we will call it a day. I have not heard from him since.

I seen their ad on Instagram selling tennis bracelets necklaces for seven dollars and four dollars and so on. I mainly thought it was a good idea. The jewelry looked really nice so I went on the site and purchased the jewelry three tennis necklace. that cost seven dollars apiece that was done in September 3. It is now two months later and I don’t even have a tracking number. Nothing nothing I even sent them multiple emails and I have yet to receive a reply. This is absolutely a scam and I am out of $25. !!!!!

I signed up for a streaming service and was charged twice for the monthly fee upon initial setup. When trying to set up the service, it would not work so I contacted tech support who was unable to troubleshoot. After two hours of troubleshooting, I attempted to get a refund and that is when tech support ceased communication with me. I have made repeated attempts to try to cancel the service but there is no way to do so on their website and I can no longer reach anyone in customer service to get my refund as they are not answering the WhatsApp number.

- Chantilly, VA, USA

I saw the ad for HOKA shoes on sale on Instagram. It looked legit and I should have known for the price. I received an email confirmation quickly. So, my card number was compromised and Name. Then they took the time to mail me a Thank you note to my home address from Shanghai, China with nothing on it. At least I hope not. The guy said by email I would be refunded when I asked where my shoes were or I would report him and he said they would be here today to please wait 1-2 days. Still no refund.

- Nanuet, NY, USA

They were selling cannibus cartridge online. Legal now where I live. They had a legitimate website to place orders but no credit cards are taken. I had to Zelle money to a “Ruth” . They went silent after they received my money, no product received, and they are still up and running scamming others today.

Placed order on website. Very prompt chat response through website. Offered 30% discount if payment with Bitcoin. After successful payment, I received shipping and tracking info. A day later, item still not shipped due to me needing to pay $95 for insurance. Communicated all of this through text as well. Once I asked where the store was located, communication stopped from them.
