So I also had this experience from this person offering me a job. I kind of thought it was legit and then I received an offer fairly quickly. I just wanted to be sure. They didn’t asked me any personal information nothing I that wouldn’t already be in my resume. I just find it odd that the COO is contacting employees for hiring when that should be handle with the HR Department.

Signed a contract and they took id, it was odd that they would pay via paypal and venmo cashapp type payments. You could hear a rooster in the background which is odd for the middle of Sioux SD warehouse.

Looked like a friend posted a job and then did an interview and hired me. Then wanted me to go buy a $300 Apple Card to pay for installation it would be reimbursed. I said not tonight and they were persistent to go get it. It was then it became apparent it was a scam

I applied for a job for a Remote Online Shopping Assistant. I was contacted by a Jacob set up a Zoom call interview. On 7/27/23 at approximately 9:30 am we had the Zoom interview. I thought it went well. He was pleased with my experience and wanted to continue to verify my identity, complete the W2 tax forms through Docu-sign, and sent me an official offer of employment. I signed the acceptance form of the offer, with the understanding that it was NOT an employment agreement. He then sent me the link for the ID Verify IRS verification process. I had a great deal of trouble with that because I had forgotten that years ago I had opted in the site long ago. Know that he had already made for me a company email address, and he had already used that address in the link to confirm my identity on the ID Verify link. So the results would have gone to that email but I had not set up a password or anything for that email address yet, tho he had. On the 3rd of August, we had all forms complete except the actual employment agreement. The last text conversation I had with him I asked him what the next step was and he said I would be receiving a tracking number for the laptop and all equipment needed to begin training. The job was supposed to begin on 8/7/23 at 9:00 am. Needless to say, I have received no word, no tracking, and no equipment a week later. I have sent 3 texts with no answer. I have the LLC owners name and address and left two voicemails on his phone. It appears to be a landline. I have received no response. I will try to download from Docu-sign the terms of employment letter. It will not allow me to download the employment letter to a readable PDF for you. I will copy and paste here. I'm sorry.

Your beginning rate of compensation before 7.65% tax deduction (6.2% for Social Security

will be paid a commission based on 5% of each referral.

They emailed and texted me about scheduling an interview three times. I did not apply to a job with them.

submitted my resume on indeed and someone reached out telling me to send over my resume to an email. they told me to take a questionnaire/exam and fill out some information. I did the "exam" and the next morning they emailed me and told me that I got the job. They also informed me they were going to send me a check for office equipment. they never asked for proof that I could work in the US, nothing about a direct deposit, nothing about taxes..... the only interest they showed was for a check they were going to send me.

i dont want you to feel skeptical about the company, i'm 50 years old with a kids i prefer to spend what little time I have left on earth with my kids, not creating elaborate lies. I personally know how it feels to have your hard-earned money taken from you by some arrogant jerk. I cringe when I even hear the word Scam. The company would never go so low to get involved with any of that sort of shameful activity. The company understand why you are feeling skeptical, as an average consumer, I would be hesitant as well. Don't let your skepticism get in the way of a truly promising opportunity for you

Repeatedly getting text messages from this “company.” I currently am job hunting and have my resume posted hence why I have been targeted. The text messages say:

Exercise science, kinesiology, fitness. 42-60 dollars an hour. Visit: northstar-inspired (dot com). Locate Consultants page inside footer.

I am searching for a new job and I completed an application online through an ADP recruiting site. Upon completing the application it asked for my SSN to see if the company would be eligible for a tax break. So excited for this job opportunity, I entered my personal information and submitted the application. Looking back I am very concerned this was not legitimate.

a person named Deft Motion, contacts me via text message for the position of data entry clerk at fast track technology. They insist I install zoom app to speak with them through messenger there instead. Then as soon as you accept their invite they proceed to start an interview without video, over zoom messages instead. They asked for email, which contains my name since it's for business purposes. The website they are hiring for is not legitimate.

Someone by the name of Amy Thompson contacted me via LinkedIn saying she had a data entry clerk job available at the company Pulmo Biotech. As my "start date" approached, they sent me a check for computer supplies and I transferred them the money after receiving the check but the check bounced and I lost money on the ordeal. I think the actual Pulmo Biotech company was acquired by another company some years ago and these scammers are just using the company's old name as a front.

Sent email to me and maybe 25+ other emails with link to connect to forms for a remote job I did not seek interest in. Sent to my email saying my inventiveness of my resume...... I am looking for a job but did not solicit information from this person for information on posted job. Job websites have resume copies so perhaps selling information or promoting to outside entities.

It was an email sent for a data entry clerk position claiming to be legit using an application from LinkedIn, email is as follows.

I got a text message from a Delores Brogan who is asking if I was interested in a job offer for the White Construction Inc. after looking at my resume from indeed. I deleted my Indeed account some time ago. When I tried looking the company and person up, I found no matches.

I lost my job in March. Ellevis reached out to me set up an phone interview and advised I would be a 3rd party shipper making $4000.00 a month part time. My first paycheck would be within 45 days and it would be a paper check mailed to me. During the process I did the shipping at no cost to me Small items. I then was asked to open a business account with one of 3 banks. I chose Bank of America. They needed $100.00 to open the account. I opened it using my debit card. I kept the documents and advised the person I spoke with David, that I was charged the $100.00 he advised I would be re-imbursed on my check. After opening the account there was no contact. I received a phone call once a week for 4 weeks telling me the client would be making payment and I needed to be on the look out in my dashboard and email. After 3 weeks I contacted them and the a woman spoke to me, the first time I ever spoke to her, she advised that I would be paid the following week. The week of July 31, I received a call from David advising that I would be paid this week and the client would be making payment. As of 8/3, I had no contact. I reached out via email and text to both numbers and the two emails I had advising I had not been paid and I was requesting my check be overnighted and that I receive information on setting up benefits and on setting up direct deposit. Later on the evening of 8/3, with no contact my access was not accepted to log into my dashboard. I have two email addresses: [email protected] and [email protected]. I also have two phone numbers: 646 583 1746 and 404 382 9083.

I applied for a job and he messaged me on LinkedIn telling me to submit my resume to an email. I did and he responded with the job, its duties, benefits, ect. Eventually he offered me the job and I accepted. He then sent me a check for supplies and first weeks pay. He wanted me to buy equipment from this company with it but the check was for more than the equipment would have cost. I only realized this was a scam after I had deposited the check.
