I was contacted by these emails: [email protected] and [email protected]. About a "packaging inspector" position a week ago. When I showed interest they called me to conduct a phone interview and were willing to hire me immediately. They sent a contract for me to fill out by this email: [email protected] and while reading it, I knew that it was illegitimate. They claimed to be stationed out of 523 N Kiwanis Ave #311, Sioux Falls, SD and that they were expanding. Every time I called I was helped by the same woman with an Indian accent that wanted me to send her my information as fast as possible.

They have a picture of my driver's license and tried asking for my banking information but i defered them

The website is, allegedly, a job hunting site. I am looking for a position in IT, information technology / computer tech - but you knew that part. I uploaded my resume which has some of my personal information on it. Not my social security number or anything but address, phone, email, employment history, etc. They have taken that information and sent me emails that, for this morning's example, have the subject header as "$90,000/year IT - apply ASAP 7/24/23" - and that is the kind of thing I'm looking for. The positions listed? Cashier at Walmart, JCPenny, TJ Maxx, and a variety of other jobs that 1) aren't going to pay even close to $90,000 a year, and 2) aren't the IT jobs I set up to get. Let's add a little potential drunkenness to this. Yesterday's list of "IT" jobs was: Delivery Driver, Parking Attendant, Registered Nurse, Cashier, Masseuse, and OB/GYN. I think they're going for anything BUT what I'm looking for. It bothers me that they're taking my information, probably enough to do harm with, and not providing anything in return but spam. I can see this "company" doing considerable damage to many people who are already down on their luck. If you can do something about this, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you for your time.

Job offer via text, then download telegram app given job offer code, went through interview process, was hired, then they say they send a check to me to pay for my office equipment needed, then email unemployment letter containing info for identification purposes such as driver’s license, social and bank account numbers

+3

I think I have also been targeted by this scam, I received a text message offering the interview via telegram. Went through the process and was “hired”. I have been waiting for a response for two days and though that was odd so I googled the original number I was texted by and found this and others. Thankfully I have not given them my information yet. Terrible to be scamming people who are looking for work

I received a text message on JULY 18th from ****** ***** with EMD Group regarding a remote job opportunity. He said my interview was with ****** *****, hiring manager, on Microsoft Teams that day. It was all conversational, with no video and no phone interview. I received a job offer through teams on JULY 18th, but I offer a letter I requested PLUS A W-4 FORM. He then mailed me a check for $4,977 for me to order my work equipment. He said that I am to order my equipment from one of their vendors and that training commences upon receipt of the equipment. The check came via UPS. He asked me to deposit it with my bank app. I told him no WELLS FARGOS BANKS DON'T BELONG IN OKLAHOMA HE SAID to USE THE BANK APP TO DO MOBILE DEPOSITED. I DID AND He wanted a copy of the deposit TO CONFIRMED IF DID AND THE ******* ***** PAPER SAID SAID I HAVE TO send a SCREENSHOT OF ALL payments and I was to email it to **************************. AFTER FEW MINS. $400 ALREADY DEPOSITED IN MY ACCOUNT, JAYDEN WANT ME TO ZELLE TO ****************** (******** ***) JAYDEN MAKE ME TOOK A SCREENSHOT AGAIN AND MAKE ME WAIT 15-20MIN. THEN HE LET ME KNOW HE RECEIVED IT. Now he plans to see me on July 20th to finish ordering the software because all money hasn't been deposited.

I have been suspect something wrong with them cause there's no way someone will handle you a $4,399 like this for nothing that is why I have been doing research on their names then I found the BBB.org website talking about one of them.

After applying for a data entry clerk position on indeed, I was contacted via email. The email is listed in full below. I was instructed to download signal for the interview, which is incredibly unorthodox. They did not reach out to me by name, which suggests this is a wide net they're casting and not an actual contact from a recruiter who read my resume. The email also instills as sense of urgency stating the interview should be as soon as possible. Whole thing wreaks of scamtastic nonsense. Full email below if you want to look at it.

Company uses job board Indeed.com to post for "shipping agent" after applying to role on indeed, they will send you an email to confirm interest. A male by name of Paul will conduct an interview and offer employment on the spot. He will immediately send you documents to sign. There were multiple confirmations amongst social media declaring that the company will not pay you after the the 30 day initial period of no pay, which is what Paul claimed to me.

The scammer contacted me after I sent a few resumes out on indeed. I did a search on their company through indeed and they did not exist on the site. Her name was Vanessa Perez and her company was Brilliance Steel LTD. She said my resume was approved for the Remote Data Entry Clerk/Administrative Assistant position with a pay rate of $35.00/hr. She asked me to reply to set up an interview. I replied and an hour later so did she. Her reply was “ Following the newest online screening introduced by The Bureau of Global Talent Management, you are required to download Signal Messenger App on your mobile device. Notify me know once it's downloaded, setup and registered with your mobile number. I did some searching and saw that these types of interactions are scams so I blocked her and ended the conversation.

You are directed to fill out the form and email it back to me attaching your ID(Front and Back). Soon as this is done we will book you in for a Zoom call with the HR and also administer a quick Background Check.”

Unfortunately, I did provide my SSN and copy of drivers license.

I received an email about a job on Indeed that I had applied for some time ago. I applied back to the email and the person sent me a form to fill out and a pic of my id front and back. Then the person sent me a zoom link with a date and time. Then she asked about my IdMe acct. because she has to do a background check which I gave the information. Then later on she emailed me to give her my code which it came to me which I thought it was alittle suspicious so I told her I didn’t feel comfortable giving it to her.

The following is the second email they sent. There was an attachment for the “background check” (it won’t let me upload it here). I assume this is what they use to get a persons information. So disappointing.
