This was regarding an automatic debit. I called the Settlement Dept. to cancel the debit. I explained I had never used Geek Squad. He said I would need to file a cancellation form and that I needed to be on Google and he would need to take me through the process. After a couple of steps, on the 3rd step, I was asked to click onto a box that had a file name with the extension of exe. I told him I was not comfortable with that. He asked me why, and I hung up. Of note, he was extremely hard to understand (I assume he was not from the USA) and there was a lot of background noise.

I received an email on Personal computer Stating that " Here is your e-bill that has been corroborated " It is a about a Firewall Security Premium of $399.99. I did not order or initiate any such service. The email had an Payment bill ID and an order number. The email stated that the amount would be deducted from my bank in the next 24 hours. It stated that my order has been successfully registered through antivirus. It stated if I wished to cancel contact the support team. at 1 (970)704-5206. I called this number on 11-17-22 about 1pm. I talked to Adam Brown ( when he called back his number was 541-391-4301) He told me follow this procedure on the computer that he was going to walk me through and began asking me to type address in search bar , then wanted me to install something on my computer, I sad I wasn't going to install something on my computer, he assured me he would take it off when we were done, but this was the only way to remove the charge from that I was going to get. I felt like this was a scam, so hung up. He called back twice.

I wanted to report a scam unsolicited text message I received. It was from Geek Squad. Phone number 844-243-8402. I never heard of them or did business with them. It said this is a confirmation that the auto pay installment on your invoice was successfully completed. Your order has been delivered. We understand you are busy. But it would be great if you could review the invoice when you have the opportunity. Customer number QWPMSSZBL Date of issue 03 November 2022. Total $465.98 . Description service and protection package for twelve months. Expired on November 3, 2023. In case you have any problem with your service 844-243-8402. I called the number five times. When I questioned them they hung up on me. They made it seem like I did not know what I was talking about. They kept hanging up on me. They tried to pretend they were someone else when I called back. I could hear static in the background. It also has an address 518US-91 Kalispell MT 59901 United States.

I received an email earlier today about a charge on my account from geek squad for coverage on a pc computer. I called them to dispute it and when ask them to give me my information so I can verify it they said because of the ScamPulse.com we can not provide that information and he’ll loose his job. Nothing has been charged to my account yet but will also report if money does come out of any of my accounts. I then looked their company up and the logo is not the same and a really company.

Hello,

I have been receiving hundreds of emails from the address [email protected] for the last few months.

The emails often appear to be phishing attempts to collect personal information.

The content of the messages are usually different, and the subject changes, but it's always from this address

I contacted Google about the issue to explain how I am trying to deal with the volume of messages from this address.

The following steps have not had any impact on the volume of messages:

*Blocking the address through Gmail

*Creating a Gmail rule to mark each message from this address as read and move to trash.

*Reported phishing through Gmail

*Unsubscribing

I receive 20-50 per day from this address, most go to spam but still require review and deletion.

Google suggested that I submit feedback to the engineering team and send a complaint to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center or IC3.

I contacted Geeksquad /Bestbuy via email as well.

Is there anything that can be done to prevent the spoofed address, volume of spam, and phishing attempts from the Geeksquad domain?

I have interacted with employees of The Geekz claiming to be certified Geek Squad employees. They are scamming people by telling them they have malware and spyware installed on their devices and that installing their software is the only thing that will help. They manipulate and scare people who aren't familiar with technology and convince them to allow the scammers to remotely access their devices, and therefor giving all control over to the scammers. These people are lying and saying they work for real and respected tech companies, and they're lying about people needing antivirus software so they can scare them into spending money.

I keep getting a bill from The Geek Squad to renew my plan, though I've never had a plan. Last year I went to a store site in Denver to see if they could replace my cell phone screen, and then said no, so I left. They've been trying to get me to buy a plan ever since. I never have. We received a screen shot via text from a group claiming to be Geek Squad. They indicated that our credit card was charged $399.99 for an annual subscription. We were given a customer ID# and Invoice#. The information indicated that we could cancel the subscription within 24 hours by calling 888-234-4650. I called Best Buy Geek Squad and they were familiar with this fraudulent scam. The person I spoke to indicated the fraudulent site was going to ask for access to my computer. I called 888-234-4650 and provided the Invoice# to the person on the other line. I asked them to verify my customer ID# and the name on the account. They were able to identify the telephone number that I was calling from, but nothing else. After asking the verification questions several times, the person on the other end hung up. This is a total scam. Be careful/
