They said they were from the IRS and stated that they had a lawsuit against us. They asked for my name and address and I gave them my name and address but I stated that I wouldn't give any more personal information. They asked if I wanted to settle outside of court or go to Washington to fight it. I told them that I would go to Washington to fight it and then they hung up on me.

This call was shown to come from Mokena, IL. He called twice-- just leaving a threatening message involving the IRS. He said there was a lawsuit against me and that I need to call the number immediately. I just received a third call so they are persistent .

This scammer calls my home repeatedly; if I answer the phone the message is " that this is the IRS filing a lawsuit against me and to return their call immediately." If I leave the call go to my voice message, the message only says to call X-XXX-XXX-XXXX asap. This occurs almost daily and sometimes several times in a row.

Left a message for us call them back immediately at 708-390-7917. Identified themselves as the IRS and they were suing us. My husband called back the number and they wanted his first and last name as well as our telephone number. He said we were reporting them to the BBB.

I had heard there was a tax scheme going on so when I got a phone call that I owed $8900 to the IRS from 2011 I played along. He was quite intimidating, broken English dead giveaway. I pretended to leave my house to go to the bank to get $5000 to resolve this today. He even said to tell the bank that the money was for business. Then he had me to drive to Wal-Mart parking lot, he told me to not go in yet, that I had instructions to get 5 - $1000 gift cards. So again I pretended to go in Wal-Mart. He had me keep my phone on speaker, so my husband played the CSR. I was told to say these gift cards were graduation gift cards. Then I was to tell him when I got back into my car. He wanted to know the numbers on the back of the gift cards So I stalled him by saying I didn't have my reading glasses and that I would get my husband too help me when I got home and he yelled "No, no husband get involved!" Then he got real aggravated and said an IRS officer would be coming to my house if I was lying. I told him I would give the cards to the officer that was coming and he said that the officer was coming to arrest me. Lol. I told him I had only so many minutes on my phone, that I had to hang up and he said no no no "You keep me on speaker phone or you be in big trouble!" Anyway I did hang up after he gave me the 202 number. I had been on the phone for over an hour. No, I couldn't find anything to do this morning. Lol

I can understand how someone would fall for this but please don't. Read the new IRS collection procedures.

On 4/27/17 i received a phone call on my cell. i was unable to answer so i listened to the message that was left. it said to call this number immediately (540-205-1151. i called the number and heard a foreigner with an india accent say irs. i hung the phone up and contacted local officals.

They will call and tell you they are the IRS and you a have a warrant for your arrest. They will say you and your property are being investigated.

I received this message on my cell phone voicemail,"This recorded message is to notify you that IRS HAS ISSUED AN ARREST WARRANT AGAINST you. Right now you and your PHYSICAL PROPERTY ARE BEING MONITORED and it is very important that I hear back from you as soon as possible before we proceed further in any legal manner. My direct call back number is 417-385-2043. Again, the number is 417-385-2043." I did not call back. If I had, I assume they would have been asking for money.

My wife received a call from someone claiming to be IRS and saying that if she hanged the telephone he would immediately send the police to arrest her. He knew her name, address, and obviously my mobile number. I asked my wife to give me the telephone, I told him that he was a scammer, and I hanged up.

Received a call from 540-446-2514 saying they were the IRS and they were sending the local police to arrest me for tax fraud if I didn't immediately pay them. I started laughing and hung up, but I realize some people might fall for this so I'm reporting it.

When I asked it was a robot call saying I was being sued by the IRS that I needed to call so when I did a foreign guy answered and said what is the call about not this is the IRS when I said it was a scam he hung up so there you go scam

This is a spam. IRS never calls you they only contact you by phone. Crooks
