Says thanks for subscription, has been successfully renewed per my request (did not request and did not use my work email which is where this came to). Have been billed $299 for 2 year subscription. In small print, it says if I did not order or request, please contact them, the funds will be taken from my account within 24 hours of notice of email. Will not refund after money has been taken from account.

They were saying that my membership is expired and in order to

Renew I would be billed $489.99 if I had questions to contact their number so I did when trying to ask for an explanation I got hung up 3 times bc they didn’t have any actual response for me considering I don’t have a computer and much less I’ve never used any geek squad services and usually if it were really geek squad they actually try to help u and explain things to you but these ppl are imposters pls remove them before they steal $$ from

Ppl!

A name of ___?__Henry (Mr. __?___Henry) sent me an email today telling me I renewed successfully a GEEK SQUAD notification that I had renewed a subscription to some service for a charge of $499.99 January 31, 2022 on my VISA card. I did not even know of this "service" or this expenditure. I want my card amount removed and cancellation of any further contact with this business ever!

I received an email that appears to be from Geek Squad. I believe it is a scam. I probably should not have clicked on the email. Billing for computer protection. $399 for 2 years. It gave a phone number to call to cancel 844-678-9561. I do not use Geek Squad. I did not call the phone number. To initiate a full refund call within 48 hours. It gives a bogus order status number. I do not have the email it came from.

I received an email from geeksquad with an invoice. Never used their services and never contacted them.

I got an email with a "receipt" from Geek Squad from renewing a subscription for LiveSafe™(3 Years Subscription). Of course I never signed up for this, and the email itself doesn't look completely legit; the logo is different than what I've seen before. I won't be contacting the phone number listed and will delete the email.

I received an email from "Geek Squad" saying there was an automatic payment of $452 and if I wanted to cancel to call the number listed. I called and a guy who had an accent from India said in order to cancel I had to go to www.teamviewer.com and he instructed me to download the free service. I questioned him and said I did not want any further subscriptions. He said if I wanted to cancel I needed to do this. The website appears to be a remote access to your computer. When I questioned him he got flustered and I asked if this was a scam and that I would turn them in to the BBB. He then hung up on me. I did take a photo of the email thankfully because somehow they deleted or retracted it as the email disappeared from my email.

Fake Invoice for support that I did not subscribe to or purchase. PDF Invoice attached but did not open. Gave the 1 860 381 0909 number to dispute the invoice. Will be deleting the email shortly. Thanks

(OBTW: This has happened more than once from "Geek Squad" over the last few months. Just getting tired of they people. )

I received a "subscription renewal" purporting to be from the Geek Squad. I am a customer of Best Buy, so I wondered if this was an actual billing from them. The email said I was being billed 399.99 for a 24 month subscription. The email contained an invoice number and a number to call if I wished to cancel. I called the number and spoke to a man who used British English. He was rather apologetic (I was irate at first) and said he would make sure I wasn't charged. A few minutes after I hung up, I received a call from "James W" at "Microsoft." James was not a native speaker of English. He used the 'v' sound in place of 'w' frequently. James said that Microsoft had been inundated with calls regarding the Geek Squad, Staples, and some other common businesses. He walked me through using the Windows key + R to check various statuses on my computer. After we had fooled around with this for awhile, he got me to the "support me" screen, again using the Windows Key + R, and gave me a six-digit code he wanted me to enter so I could download some kind of fix to my computer. At this point, I declined to do a download, and excused myself from the call. As soon as I had hung up, I realized the whole thing had to be a scam.

The phony customer service number I first called was: 866-411-1758. "James" reached me from 425-979-7661, and claimed his extension was 1918. He knew my name - ***** ******. The narrative revolved around the Windows Defender software. Anyway, glad I hung up, and hope this helps someone else.

"Subscription Renewed Successfully!" Needed to contact withing 24 hours to cancel. Amount to be charged to bank statement, $499.00. I called to cancel subscription after talking with our tech employee who doesn't remember using this company. Man answering the phone identified as "Mike William" with a strong Indian accent. Lots of background noise, making it hard to hear and understand. Had me use team viewer to access a form to cancel. Then wanted me to log into banking account to access a link in order to be refunded monies. I said I didn't have access to that account. Asked for me to log into my personal banking account, which I promptly declined. He was willing to wait for me to get our business manager and made this matter seem like a pressing issue.

We, as a school, do not give out our banking information. This type of account would typically be handled by credit card. I don't see this company listed as an existing vendor. I will not communicate further with them.

email stating services were automatically renewed costing $399.99. Calling the number on the email - the party asked to be connected to our computer to remove the service. Several people involved because we got disconnected several times and new/different people answered the phone when I called back inquiring on how they charge w/o my consent.

email, not responded to. Don't have any product ordered. Did make a purchase a few months ago at Best Buy.

I got an email this morining that says it is supposedly from the Geek Squad. I am pretty sure it is a phishing expedition/ attempt .They are saying that my subscription is going to autumatically be renewed another year for $351 and if I want to cancel call this number, 1888-271-1578 and that is not Geek Squad's number so I just wanted to report this to somebody. I will probably just delete the email.

I received a text stating that my subscription was renewed for Geek Squad for $189.99. I do not have that. I called the number and said I i received a text and I don’t have Geek Squad and the gentleman said that he knows and that someone used my account and it was fraud. He said that they caught the guy he is in North Carolina a man named Brown snd in order for this transaction to not go through I had to go on my laptop or computer to fill out a form that I had to download. The form could only be done via a computer or laptop. Before I even finished typing in the URL that he was giving me, I realized that it was a scam and I hung up. My bank would have notified me of any suspicious activities or if a payment for anything would have gone through. Before hanging up, the gentleman said there has been suspicious activities going on and this guy has been caught.

received email stating that geek squad was renewing a subscription for 2 years at an amount of 322.87usd which i did not order. email stated that to cancel call 5103232651 which i did. this led them to get into my computer to cancel and them trying to get into bank account which i did not do. he gave the name david hay employee number GK19941222. the original name of the service ordered was geek squad then the web site was ultraviewer and when he finished call he stated he was working with norton.

Received text stating renewal for subscription to Geek Squad was renewed with invoice #GCK3201 and dollar amount 189.99. Stated support # was 206-690-7003.

I received an email saying that they are renewing my Geek Squad subscription for me

It said something like this: PC CARE will expire today on 12/15/2021 4:08:21 PM your subscription Will Auto-Renew. Please Review Your Purchase Summary Below. Then they gave me the customer support phone number and an order number. Also provided product description which was called A/C TYPE Personal Home Product: GkSqd PC4 Care Device Windows Computer (4 Users) 1 Year Auto-Debit $438.17 then it said this is my confirmation email and this subscription will auto renew every year unless you turn it off no later than 48 hours. Then they provided a phone number to call and cancel.

I was confused because I don’t have a geek squad subscription. I called to find out what was going on and it was an automated system and said press 1 to speak to someone who can cancel your subscription, so I did. I spoke to a man with a heavy Indian accent, who at first said he’ll be transferring me to someone who can help with that, then changed his mind and told me to type in a web address. I started getting suspicious and felt that this wasn’t right. I asked him why he needed me to enter a web address, he said that’s the only way he is able to cancel my subscription. I asked him how he charged me when I don’t have an account with the geek squad, no answer. I then said I’m not going to type in some weird web page because this whole thing seems wrong. Next thing I know, the line goes dead.

Looking back at the email that was sent to me, I noticed it said it was for service for my PC computer…I don’t even have a PC computer, haven’t had a PC in appx 15 years.

Email said I’d been successfully charged $349.99 for Geek SQUAD PC Security. They gave a phone number to call if I wanted to cancel or change service.

Emailed me and told me my subscription had been renewed and I’d be charged $399.99. I’ve never used geek squad.

I received an email stating that my "subscription" is extended. However, I have NEVER used Geek Squad. I have attached a copy of the email I have received.
