Email s for months now fron a fake NORTON / McAfee virus protection company. I REFUSE to open email. Now being threatened that my account will be terminated. Worried others may be scammed by these individuals if not apprehended.

Initially was called by this number and they claimed to be a "debt relief" company - the name of which is information that was flat out refused to me (as was the name of the person calling). The number was ran through multiple unmasking services, which found the number to not be "masked" or "spoofed".

Upon calling back(had to do this multiple times) I was repeatedly told by each rep I spoke to(2 with Northern Indian accents, 1 with a Southern Indian accent, and one American male) including a supposed "manager"(American female) that the number was for "Ting Mobile Customer Service." When calling this number however, you're presented with a bot voice, asking if your calling for "Ting" or "Boost".

It's apparent to me that this may in fact be Boost/Ting mobile, however their call centers are running info phishing scams directly under the noses of the company they share a number with. This type of under the radar operation is unfortunately common place with many outsourced-to-overseas call center operations. Do NOT trust this number, as you will never know if your truly speaking to a Boost/Ting rep, or a thug working for an illegal operation in the same building (usually in the upper floors of the call center office.)

ScamPulse.com scam tracker report entered on behalf of consumer by ScamPulse.com employee

The consumer received an email from what she thought was Norton. They said she had Norton and to call the number in the email. They said I have an amount I have to pay. I called the number in the email and they said I owe them $620, but I told them I don't have Norton and never have. They then said to provide them my banking information. That's when I said No, I am not giving you anything. That's when they shut my computer down. I can't get into it. I have a computer repairman coming to my home to fix it.

Had 2 email invoices for $399 on the same day from Norton Lifelock. Called to get them removed and refunds. They accidentally put $4,000.00 dollars in my account and then wanted me to go to a partner store and get a digital card (?) so they could balance their books. The difference would have been $3,600. I shut down my computer and called the fraud division of my bank.

I was on a remote session with Earthlink--had an email problem--when almost done a screen came up with trojan virus said to call 475 897 7330 immediately to unlock computer--I shut off computer called no. which was busy--finally someone answered--computer is locked and nothing he said to do will unlock it--now have to take in to get fixed

I'm 84 yrs old. I've been talking to William Rogers, an Indian man, who said he works for Spectrum. He said he can bring my cable down to $161.11 for two years. he asked if I would be home the rest of the day because after I write the check, someone would call to see if I have mailed it. He asked me to write a check and mail it to: Tech TV, PO Box 212, Hudson, MA 01749. He asked me to date the check January 31, 2023. I received a second call, and I asked him if I call ScamPulse.com will they tell me this is legit, and he hung up.

Trying to activate my prime video on tv. Code took me to this website. They stated they were prime and helping me. Kept telling me to do this there be no charge they were prime trying to get it contacted. I don't know there address but did get a pending 100.00 to my bank account. I've contacted my bank and got my Amazon account account change.. had to stop my debit card. there is another number they called me back on it is this 13179676688 . When I started question him he kept saying was with prime and this what had to be done. I hung up and called Amazon directly they said that was likely scammer and reported fraud and called my bank. I am reporting them to keep this from happening to someone else. If I had believed them they would have taken all my money.

Yesterday I got a message on my computer screen telling me to call Microsoft. I called and spoke ot a foreign man. He asked my age, I said 70. Then he asked if I was into porn. I said no. He said yes. I asked if he was scamming me, he said no. He said he had found four scammers in my system. He sounded very convincing, He kept telling me to hold on. He asked if I had a charge card beginning with 7, I said no. He asked if it began with 6, I said no, I don't have a credit card. He said yes you do, it begins with a 4. I said no, I don't have a credit card. He asked if I had an Apple or Android cell phone, I said I don't know, my daughter bought it for me. I hung up. He called back. Then the message came back across my computer screen so I unplugged my computer.

They pretend to be a cyber security company. They take your 499 in the beginning then use your IP address to get on to your computer and look through your files, history to get your personel bank info, credit info or anything you have saved or frequently visit. They download something on your hard drive that gives them access to your computer anytime they want and its impossible to remove that downloaded piece of code. The only thing you can do is to get a another computer!

I got an email I was suspicious a fake invoice. See attachment., I never answered or enquired cause I knew it was a scam. But I just read an article on Google news about exact same thing, they call asking for your bank info to issue a refund.
