this the email I just received, I called and someone answered claiming he's from Best Buy Geek Squad, which is very obvious that he's a scammer.

"We thank you for completing one year with Geeks Deluxe Security LLC.

WE have charged you $262 for the next 36 months subscription. We tried to CONTACT you on your registered Phone number. Deduction of amount will appear on your bank account within 48 hours.

Every month I recieve an email from a new gmail address to my business email but it says to: [email protected]

there is a fake monthly payment from "Geek Squad" saying that a visa ending in xxxx has been billed for a random amoount over $300 dollars and it says Product: advanced subscription

payment method: debit card audo

with the amount the date and the reference ID qith a paragraph of more mumbo jumbo.

when you call to ask why you've been charged and what card they've charged and how to cancel they try to make you download an app "ANYDESK" app to continue to cancel.

I knew it was a scam, i more or less wanted to see if they had actually charged our business card.

I am on here just trying to let people be in the know.

These men are foreign with thick accents and they are very hard to understand. they do not speak fluent english.

I hope no one falls for their scams

I received an email saying I was gonna be charged $389.99 fo annual membership. I never signed up for. I called the number. He told me I signed up 2 years ago and had my name. I said I never signed up. He said to turn on my computer so he could cancel it. When I said I don't use the computer he hung up on me.

Received an email stating the below:

We appreciate you being a Geek Squad customer. Your order for a subscription was submitted successfully. The card associated with your account was used to make the Geek Squad Firewall Subscription transaction. Within 48 hours of the subscription, the $299.99 sum will appear in your account.

I have never signed up for any Tech Support service nor reached out to "Geek Squad". They're attempting to spoof a real company.

Email stated that I had been charged for a service. When I called they wanted access to my computer and I told him NO. He insisted and I told him NO. Then I informed him that I was contacting the ScamPulse.com and filing a complaint and he made up a bogus claim that I bought the service in 2019 from Best Buy. I don't shop at Best Buy. Hung up on him.

Scammer sent and email stating that order was ready. Annual Membership powered by Geek Squad. Price 260.6 no sales tax. client ID 7713102; transaction id TNI8332KK55168ZQ. I asked them to cancel the membership because I did not place an order and they want to sign on to your personal computer. and cancel. .I read about this with an older lady where they took out loan on her house and everything.

This e-mailer said that money would be taken out of my account for an order that I never placed. The amount was $ 249.00. The e-mailer is a total stranger.

They email you about a reoccurring charge for a subscription you didn't sign up for and try to get your information over the phone when you try to cancel. They go by Geek Squad, but are not affiliated with the real one and use similar colors in logo, but not the official logo.

I received this email. None of it is true. They want to 'remove' the charges, once you give them your bank account:

Made the mistake of answering this call which showed the area code in which I live and it was a recording saying they would continue my Geek Squad coverage (which I have had in the past) in the amount of $369 I think it was by me hanging up or I could press 1 (I think it was 1) if I had any questions. So I knew I didn't want to press 1 and I was afraid to hang up because that gave them tacit approval for a transaction I didn't want! Made a phone call to my bank to see if any transaction like that was occurring. Made a call to my Best Buy card and to Best Buy subscriptions before I felt, finally, that my hanging up did not automatically take money from me!

You will receive an email notifying that you signed up for Geek Squad. I called to investigate and cancel subscription which I had no knowledge of setting up. The scammer will ask you to get on a computer or laptop to send you a form and they will walk you through it of filling out the form to get a refund. I questioned the scammer of how did they get my banking or credit card to even set up in order to get a refund in the first place. Right away I told them that I was going to tge Geek Squad at Best buy and to my banks to alert such transactions. The scammer tried to convince me that that would not be necessary.

Item: GSK Network Pro amount $336.00 taken out my acct. To cancel, I called 1-888-428-1385. A male with an India acct answered, he identified himself as Mark William, telling me he had to send me a Cancellation Form..go to my computer so he can walk me through the cancellation or the monies would not be cancelled. I told him I did have the computer. I don't use it, it's packed away. He then asked how do I read my emails, I said on my phone. He asked what kind of phone...Android, Apple. I said Android, he then askedmodel, I said Moto G. He tells me to go to Play Store (I didn't understand him so I asked him to spell it. He spelled Play Store. I say oh, Google Play Store, he says yes. Type quick support in Search. I do this a set of numbers come up... I give Mark the numbers 797853841. He repeats them back and I see "Pls connect to my device by opening: https://start.team viewer.com/797853841. At this point, I hear him saying don't do anything...I then hang up- feeling like I just SCAMMED! I AM A VICTIM AND I DON'T LIKE IT! PLS STOP THESE PEOPLE. I solicited their support, thinking that they were Geek Squad owned by Best Buy. THEY ARE NOT

They took control of my computer for 1/2 day, claimed that there were malicious viruses on my computer and charged me to add Webroot and Malbytesware software. They did not correct my wifi access problem with turned out later to be a hardware issue with my laptop (another computer repair company fixed my computer). Their 499.99 charge reportedly was for 2 more years of tech support which I never used, thinking that their company was going to steal info from my computer.
