I received an email from a company called geek squad. I am familiar that there is a company that works through Best Buy with that name so I thought it was legit. The email stated that I was going to be charged for a renewal membership for $312.41. The email gave me a phone number to call if I wanted to cancel it. Once I called that number it had me log in to my computer and enter in a website. It then had me open my wells fargo acct so that they could "reimburse me for the charges that were pending". They then tried to steal $15,000 from my credit card. Once I realized what they were doing, I clicked off of the tabs to close them and instantly got cussed out by the represenatives.

Did not make any purchases with this company. Call the # on snapshot. An person wanted to verify the order, wanted to fill out a cancellation form with personal information.

had an email saying they were renewing my subscription which i had never had. called and spoke to a man with indian accent. i asked him if it was a scam. he said no. i gave him the "order number" in the email and he told me to hold on. then call was disconnected. 800-486-3102. called back someone answered but didn't speak. i said i was reporting them and i hung up. no $$ was taken out or attempted .

My girlfriend got a text from Geek Squad about a billing for $529.78. It said to call 800-486-3102 for cancellation modification. I called and spoke to a woman, she said I should call back in 15 minutes.

Email Recieved stating that my subscription from geek squad would be auto renewed and charged to my account for the sum of $231.70. It had a number if I wanted to cancel. I called the number, and a man with a Indian accent picked up the phone. I told him that I never had a subscription for this and asked him the name of the person it was under. He said another name, not mine. And said another state, in which I do not live in. I asked him the account that was being charged, and he would not tell me, he said I had to get in the computer and fill out a form so that it would be canceled and I could be refunded. After a lot of back and forth he finally hung up the phone when he realized I wasn't to Going to give him any information

I received an email purporting to be from Geek Squad, a computer service offered through Best Buy.

The email stated that they were going to charge me $268.17 for next year's subscription service.

If I did not want the subscription I was to call the following number to cancel. 888--679-2285.

I called and indicated I wanted to cancel.

I was told I needed to log on to my computer and they would need to enter my computer to authorize the cancellation. At that point, I hung up.

I contacted Best Buy and informed them of this scam. I reported it to ******************

I received an email claiming to be from the Geek Squad stating my Norton account was about to expire and they were automatically renewing it for $399.99 for 24 months. I received another email stating it was Norton with the same info. They said I had 48 hours to cancel. I called them and I asked to cancel the subscription. They told me they were going to refund my $399.99. I gave them access to my computer and they were able to access my account for the refund. In the process, they refunded $20000 to my account and told me they made a mistake. They asked to wire the difference back to them. They told me not to tell anyone about this. They told me to tell the bank I was sending it to a friend. They told me if I said anything I would be charged extra fees.

I received an email from Geek Squad stating that my automatic subscription was about to be renewed and if I wanted to cancel, to call a certain number. I called the specified number and frighteningly enough, the person answering the phone answered "GEEK SQUAD." I told him about the email and said "it seemed like SPAM," he said I purchased some bogus hard drive subscription and that I needed to provide additional information to cancel it. I asked to cancel it and he said it was under a family member's name and for me to call them and call him back. I never called him back, because I would imagine, if I did, he would have asked for personal information.

Charging 339.90 for renewal of subscription plan - When I called the number today a person with an Indian or Asian accent answer the phone then was disconnected...I called back and no one answered! Cannot copy the email.

Had a text from the number above stating they had charged my account for $299 for renewal. I called the number listed as directed if I didn’t approve this purchase. They wanted me to download several downloads such as my desk etc. I figured it was a scam so while I was waiting on a download I googled it. I told him it was a scam indeed and I would report it. He immediately hung up.

This person sent an invoice to my email. From Geek Squad and said they auto renewed your complete network security plan. They wanted you to call to cancel and when called they wanted you to go to the computer to retrieve some information.

I received this email and called the 1800 number. Someone answered saying he was Shawn Smith. I asked him to cancel the plan. He tried to get me to give him information about my computer. I did not give him anything. I did give him the invoice #. I then requested a cancelation # he gave me: REF0429. I look on the geeksquad website and there was a different 1800 number. I called it and the lady that answered stated that they did not have invoice #s like on the email. I selected online purchase since that is what it stated in the emai.
