I received an email from GeekSquad saying that they were going to auto debit my account for GKnetwork for $294. I never ordered this

in the first place. They instructed me to call a phone number, and then instructed me to download a program in order to cancel. I did not

download their program.

They tried to get me to pay for Best Buy Geek Squad Information. They sent an invoice to my email address

I got an email saying that my order was ready and that they were going to charge my card $384. I called them and they said I should go online and fill out a refund request. I told them No, I had not ordered anything from them, so I am not giving them any additional information.

I am receiving SCAM Emails. Received the following SCAM Email today April 28, 2022 @ 11:41 AM.

I received a letter today in my email stating that i will be getting an recurring bill and the will be taking money out of my bank account BUT I HAVE NOT SUBSCRIBED TO OR OWE AN GEEK SQUAD, SOMEBODY IS FRAUDULENTLY USING MY INFORMATION. So when I tried to call and ask about it the guy gave me a link to go to to cancel something I never had, www.tiny.one/geek8822 and then when I tried to tell him this was a fraud and I was going to report him to the BBB, he hung up. whomever doing this used some email address with my name and this email address(see the attached document) .

Got an email from Geek Squad they that my subscription had expired and they got a request to renew it so they charged my debt card 481.00 . I never had an account with them . I only purchased a I pad from Best Buy and refused the service then .

I received an unsolicited email invoice to pay for a 3 year subscription to Geek Squad for "Internet Security Plus". The invoice was confusing because it said the purchase amount was charged and due on receipt. I spotted this as a scam because Geek Squad offers repair and tech support, not software protection.

I have received 2 emails within 2 weeks, stating my Geek Squad renewal was taken out of my account. The first email was for $499.19 & the second was for $499.99. I have NEVER subscribed to or purchased Geek Squad. If responding to the emails, they have you download 2 apps, ultraviewer.net & anydesk.com so they can gain remote access to your computer & bank account(s) to unscribe you from the Geek Squad. You get black screens, a command prompt comes up where you have to enter the refund amount & all this time your bank account is open & they have remote access to your account. Well, they thought they were going to scam me & take the $499.19 out of my account & I caught them & entered $5,000 instead of $500 for my refund, then uninstalled the apps, & closed everything down, & when I checked my accounts all my money was there except the $5,000. No money has been taken out of my accounts & I have reported/forwarded the emails to my banks & the Best Buy fraud department. Best Buy has NO Geek Squad plans over $199. Do not click on any link if you receive this email.

Phishing scam for Norton - Geek Squad but not affiliated with Best Buy. Wanted to get control of my computer remote, wanted my cc information to refund amount.

I was sent a receipt for a bill for 413.00, for a Renewal that I never Purchase, when I called the company, they hung up on me

I received an invoice (via email) from “Geek Squad” for $410.30. Invoice looks legitimate … although I have not used GS in over 10 years. There is a number listed “if you have not done this package,” contact to helpline”

+1(410)-929-7662.

They want you to “be in front of your computer” … so they can “fix the issue.”

Hang up. Disengage.

Got a text message that a subscription would renew and to call support. The number on this message was +18048760247

Came from phone number 5419091441

They claim that I renewed my yearly geek squad software whi h I did not. When I called to contest the charge they said they would help by deactivating software by access to my computer. I immediately hung up. I received two of the same emails but the amount they were charging was different. One said $324 the other was $348. They sounded like from Nigeria or india

Text reads:

Your subscription from Geek-squad has been renewed amount $189.99 debited invoice no. GCK6885. Invoice date 23 march 2022. Geek squad support +18048760247

[[BBB TRANSCRIPTION VIA TELEPHONE CALL WITH THE CONSUMER]]

Consumer received 2 emails from "Geek Squad" regarding her account with the business. Customer gave remote access to her computer. She is not a customer of theirs. She inserted $500.00 as the amount, he said come as $5,000.00 and then he would refund the remaining it, correcting the number. The 'Executive Sr. supervisor' James Dawson (who is out of Salt Lake City, UT), employee. He said not to tell anyone about it. She withdrew $5,500 from her bank. Went to the Marathon Gas Station in Ashland, OH. There was a yellow bitcoin machine. She put the money in there and got a receipt. Which then was sent it to the 'business'. She lost $5,500.00.

Consumer called her bank. The bank closed her accounts. She's reporting to us, the OH Attorney General's Office, and the FTC. Consumer tried calling back and getting no response.
